Susan Buchanan is an American decorator of interior and exterior spaces, both residential and commercial. Over the years, Susan has developed a proven network of relationships with valued artisans and auctioneers, primarily in New England and the Atlantic states. The visual arts run in Susan’s family; from her sister, Elizabeth Coffin Buchanan, a re-emerging artist in Chicago to her ancestor, Elizabeth Rebecca Coffin, the first person in the United States to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree.

 

Born in New York, Susan was immersed in design, architecture, and the arts from a young age. The combination of a lifelong connection to sophisticated urban environments, rural or island retreats, and extensive travel in Europe and South America is the foundational inspiration for her aesthetic.
