FOUNDER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Personal Profile

susan.jpg

Susan Buchanan is an American decorator of interior and exterior spaces, both residential and commercial. Over the years, Susan has developed a proven network of relationships with valued artisans and auctioneers, primarily in New England and the Atlantic states. The visual arts run in Susan’s family; from her sister, Elizabeth Coffin Buchanan, a re-emerging artist in Chicago to her ancestor, Elizabeth Rebecca Coffin, the first person in the United States to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree.

Born in New York, Susan was immersed in design, architecture, and the arts from a young age. The combination of a lifelong connection to sophisticated urban environments, rural or island retreats, and extensive travel in Europe and South America is the foundational inspiration for her aesthetic. SIRAP – Paris spelled backwards – speaks to the Francophile Susan is, and her readiness to pursue projects wherever her clients call home. A classic, comfortable style infused with genuine attunement to her clients’ needs, results in exceptional interiors and exteriors.

Susan’s desire to get to know and listen to each client fuels the creation of spaces that are as functional as they are timeless. Known for her artful eye, attention to detail, selection of high-quality products, and thorough search for one-of-a-kind pieces, Susan will work with you to achieve the potential of your space, in your style.
